Hello, I am Pratik; a software engineer passionate about distributed systems.
I was fortunate to begin this journey at AWS DynamoDB. I take a holistic approach to engineering, aiming to create impactful solutions. By collaborating with stakeholders, I strive to drive business value and deliver a delightful customer experience. I love every aspect of the backend stack and have a pragmatic understanding of the trade-offs involved. I have built control planes, SDKs, event-driven systems, schedulers, and lately working on storage at Momento. My background is in Computer Science, and I completed my Master's thesis at Penn State in human-computer interaction and data privacy. Outside of technology, I love to travel, talk cricket and finance, and spend time at the amazing coffee shops in Seattle.
Through this platform, I aim to write about the thing I love the most in Computer Science: distributed systems and everything related and relevant to it. Currently, I am getting deeper into systems programming and building different components that make up a database.
